Alleged attempt to ensure safety of child marriage victim from her own mother by KS Layout police in Bengaluru ended on an ugly note. An Assistant Sub Inspector lost his cool and slapped her mother. The ASI was suspended for assaulting the woman. The incident came to the notice of senior police officials only after the video of the policeman assaulting the woman went viral.
